• Publications in peer-reviewed journals (mandatory)
• Proficiency in R or Python (statistical analyses, modeling, publication-ready visualization)
• Experience with cohort analysis and AI applied to healthcare

• Ability to work under tight deadlines and produce publication-ready results
• Fluency in French and English (mandatory)

Project Description
Our client is a deeptech startup at the intersection of preventive medicine and technology. By combining advances in predictive and preventive medicine, data science, and behavioral sciences, client offers its members a cutting-edge 360° health assessment, followed by personalized digital support to help them improve their quality of life and healthy life expectancy.
The three pillars of the startup:
• A network of health centers where members meet their medical team, undergo their health assessment, and begin their preventive health journey.
• A suite of algorithms and technologies supporting the medical team in holistically analyzing thousands of data points collected during the assessment and providing personalized recommendations to members.
• A mobile application that supports members in applying recommendations daily and making qualitative, lasting lifestyle changes.
They are conducting cutting-edge research projects in preventive medicine, leveraging a unique, multimodal cohort (clinical, biological, behavioral, imaging). To accelerate their scientific output, they are looking for a freelance Research Scientist (ideally PhD-level) passionate about data and innovation. Your role: bring expertise in advanced statistical analyses and predictive modeling, and deliver publication-ready results. You will work hand-in-hand with client research team to advance scientific innovation and help shape the medicine of tomorrow.
Missions
• Implement and compare predictive models applied to a large cohort
• Apply supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods (regressions, random forests, neural networks, clustering, feature selection)
• Conduct advanced statistical analyses: consistency, sensitivity, multivariate regressions, correlations, robustness analyses
• Explore the integration of multimodal data (clinical, biological, behavioral, imaging) to enhance predictive models
• Develop and document reproducible and robust R or Python scripts
• Produce publication-ready tables, visualizations, and figures compliant with international standards
• Identify new correlates and propose innovative exploratory analyses
• Provide methodological support and contribute to scientific writing (methods, results, discussion)
