  • Could you please let us know more about your expertise, your day-to-day activity as a freelancer in this expertise ? 💎

I freelance on the side so I probably work about ten to fifteen hours per week on those projects. My expertise is in structural biology and spectroscopy but I tend to get a lot of contracts with people that just need a PhD level scientist for finding grants, writing grants, or even help with their resume and CVs and transitioning from academia into industry. I’ve also helped some investment groups to evaluate prospective biotech investments. 

  • Why did you decide to become a freelancer ? 😇

The freedom to work when I want and how I want and also the money.

  • What are the pros & cons  being a freelancer ? ⚖️

You have to be very good at managing your time and you have to be able to prospect very well. 

  • What would you say to  someone hesitating becoming a healthcare industry freelancer ? 🤔

I would say to really think about if you have the time and patience to do everything that it takes to set up your own business. It’s not for everyone but for those that it is, it’s awesome !

  • What is your feeling around healthcare  Clients openness  to freelancers ? 〽️

I like it.
