  • Could you explain us your background  & where you coming from ? 🎓

I have both scientific and marketing background, I come from France, my parents are both HCPs, and I’ve always be interested by working in medical industry area.

  • Could you please let us know more about your expertise, your day-to-day activity as a freelancer in this expertise ? 💎

I work as a graphic designer to create promotional and technical documentation ; I use InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator to create printable and digital visual supports (flyers, catalogs, posters roll-up…).

  • Why did you decide to become a freelancer ? 😇

In 2017, the company where I worked decided to close their office in south of France, so a I wanted to continue working for medical companies, I decided to create my own activity in graphic design and communication strategy.

  • What are the pros & cons  being a freelancer ? ⚖️

Pros : I can organize myself as I want, I can take care of my family when needed, I work for myself and not for a boss 😊, I can choose my clients, I’m free to work the way I want. Cons : mostly financial precarity, have to find several customers any time.

  • What would you say to  someone hesitating becoming a healthcare industry freelancer ? 🤔

In France specifically, it’s really easy to create our own business, and as a freelance, you don’t have much expenditures, and you can have access to financial help.

  • What is your feeling around healthcare  Clients openness  to freelancers ? 〽️

Most companies prefer to have employees than freelancers.

I think it’s a good idea, as for me it’s important to be specialized as a graphic designer.

  • How do you see  freelancing in healthcare industry in the near future ? 💫

Hope it will grow, as it grows in many areas.

  • Any other points you want to share with the healthcare industry community ?

I think communication is an important part for an healthcare company, specifically because of the restraining rules in some countries (as France).
